Emir of Kaura Namoda Survives Attack by Gunmen

 The Emir of Kaura Namoda in Zamfara state, Sanusi Mohammad escaped attack by gunmen yesterday. The attack occurred on his way back from Abuja along Zaria-Funta road. Eight persons were killed in the attack including three police escort according to Legit.ng.  The attack forced the emir to spend the night at a police station in Funtua. It would be recalled that the emir was appointed by the Governor of Zamfara state in may this year following the death of his father Mohammed Asha.  The Emir was still serving as a Major in the Nigerian Army before his appointment.

  Dr. Olaoluwa Hallowed Oluwadara had his Ph.D., at the age of 24, in Mathematics, making him the youngest West African with a doctorate degree. The Ekiti State indigene, born in Bangui, Central African Republic (CAR), who graduated from the University of Lagos, Akoka, as the Best Graduating Ph.D. holder in 2013, has two first (First Class) degrees and Master's degrees, in Mathematics and Physics which were run simultaneously, at the University of Bangui, Central African Republic. Olaoluwa Hallowed Oluwadara won the University of Bangui’s All-Time Best Student Award from the Department of Mathematics (B.Sc), Best B.Sc Student Award in Physics, 2007, and Best M.Sc Awards in Physics and Mathematics respectively in 2008. HISTORY OF THE PAST AND PRESENT OBA OF LAGOS.*

 *Lagos Dynasty Since 1600* *ASHIPA (1600-1630)* Ashipa was regarded as the founder of the Lagos Dynasty. He was the son Oba of Benin. He was acting as the leader of the people of Lagos but not as the King. He served as the intermediary between the Oba of Benin and the people of Lagos (Eko). He spent 27 years as the leader of Eko. He died in 1630 and his son Ado took over his responsibility. *OBA ADO  -  1630-1669* Oba Ado, the son of Ashipa assumed the leadership role played by his father in 1630. During his reign, he was elevated to the position of an Oba and was crowned as the King of Lagos by the Oba of Benin. Oba Ado,therefore, became the first Oba of Lagos. He had three children - 2 males and 1 female namely; Gabaro, Akinsemoyin, and Erelu Kuti.  Oba ado ruled for 39years.as he joined his ancestor in 1669.
